Rob Hardy is a proven leader with decades of executive, civic, and volunteer experience.
Rob was born on an Army base in Frankfurt, Germany, into a career military family. His father, Bill, served under General George Patton, commanding a tank through several campaigns, including the landing on Normandy Beach.
Originally a physics major at UT Austin, Rob’s path changed after he witnessed a drowning during a lakeside emergency while on summer break. When he returned to school that fall, he switched his major to Community & Health Education and began training in the Emergency Medical Services field.
Rob joined Austin Emergency Medical Services and built a distinguished 10-year career, ultimately serving as a District Commander.
Then Rob completed his Master’s in Health Administration at Texas State University in San Marcos, launching a career of more than 30 years in hospital and healthcare administration.
Rob’s guiding purpose has always been to elevate the lives of patients, support his staff, and strengthen the institutions he serves, leading with integrity and example at every step.
